Library Card Information & Services

Library Cards : Please present a valid Driver's License or another government-issued photo ID with a local or county address when opening your account. If your photo ID doesn't have your current address, please also present a utility bill with your name and new address on it. Northwest ISD students and faculty will also need to present their school ID. All other individuals may open an account with us for a fee of $25.00.

Lost cards: A fee of $3.00 will be charged when replacing lost cards. 

Checkout: All material is checked out for 2 weeks. Renew online from the online catalog tab linked above or call the library for assistance (817-636-2767). (NOTE: ILL items and items on hold for other patrons may not be renewable.)

Returns: Items may be returned inside the library during our regular business hours or 24/7/365 in the drive-up book return located outside the library on Elm Street. NOTE: STEM kits, Phonics kits, and Yoto Players may not be returned in the drive-up book return. Those must be returned inside the library. STEM kits, Phonics kits, and Yoto players returned in the drive-up book return that are damaged will result in your account being charged for replacement.

Overdue Items: Overdue items are assessed fines at the rate of 15¢ per item per day, or $1.00 per item per day for videos and Yoto players. There is a 24-hour grace period past the due date before fines begin accumulating. Fines are not charged for days the library is closed (weekends and certain holidays).

Lost or Damaged Items: Your account will be charged for the cost of the item. 

Other Services

For services that incur charges, we accept payment by cash or credit/debit card. Card charges incur fees of 3.9% plus 75¢ and must total a minimum of $3.00.

  • Faxes (50¢ per page + Fax Cover Sheet 50¢ required to send, no receiving)
  • Copies (black and white - 20¢ single sided/30¢ double sided; color - 50¢ single sided/75¢ double sided)
  • Free online databases for library patrons. If you're logged into our catalog, you're automatically logged in to access the databases.
  • Computer Access  with Microsoft software and Wi-Fi (Free)
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is accessible from our catalog
  • Scanning (Free) Please bring your own jump drive
